''Ariosoma meeki'' is an eel in the family Congridae (conger/garden eels).〔(''Ariosoma meeki'' ) at www.fishbase.org.〕 It was described by David Starr Jordan and John Otterbein Snyder in 1900, originally under the genus ''Congrellus''.〔Jordan, D. S. and J. O. Snyder 1900 (10 Dec.) (2502 ) ''A list of fishes collected in Japan by Keinosuke Otaki, and by the United States steamer Albatross, with descriptions of fourteen new species.'' Proceedings of the United States National Museum v. 23 (no. 1213): 335-380, Pls. 9-20.〕 It is a subtropical, marine eel which is known from Japan and the Peng-hu Islands, in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. Males are known to reach a maximum total length of 53 centimetres.〔 ==References==
